Pack your bags!

Friends or people always ask what were the trips like.

It’s easy for me to say what we did…build schools, make jewelry, plant trees, make gravel, dig trenches, do laundry, paint, and work with the students….

All are tangible and very important; but, for me, it’s the emotional experience; the one that isn’t tangible that I want to share. But words will not begin to touch what I felt as I was serving in the different communities. It’s those life-changing feelings that bring me back time and time again to places that have been hard and uncomfortable at the moment. But I am eternally grateful.

Emotions that are stirred up from washing rubber shoes that are full of dirt and bugs that are way too small for a little girl’s feet, to washing and massaging women’s hands, or standing in a slum and wondering where God is and turning ever so slightly to see a “clothes line” to which I see a cross and God answering… right here.

Yes. I explained a little but it doesn’t capture the true intimate and personal experience that God shares when you just say yes.
So pack your bags and taste and see how good He is.
